Done-With-You vs. Done-For-You: How to Know Which One Builds Your Digital Product

If you have been sitting with an idea for a digital product, one question tends to come up before almost any other. What does it actually look like to get help building this thing?

Done-with-you and done-for-you get used a lot in the coaching and course world. But what they mean in practice, and which one actually fits where you are right now, rarely gets spelled out clearly.

Done-with-you means you stay in the driver's seat with hands-on support and a clear structure so you are never guessing your way through the build alone. Done-for-you means the whole build comes off your hands entirely. You bring the vision and the expertise, and the team builds the offer ecosystem around it.

The simplest gut-check: if you want to learn the process as you go, that is done-with-you. If you want it handled so you can stay focused on what you do best, that is done-for-you.

In this episode of Just a Number, we break down both paths so you know exactly what to expect before you ever get on a call.
